Did ya give up on me?

If you are in fact one of the people who actually read my posts and did in fact give up on me ... I DON'T
BLAME YOU! I've been MIA for so long that I'm sure you've all forgotten what I blog about or if what I blog about is interesting or if you should really care about me at all! But here's the deal ... if you're one of those truly lovely loyal people who take the time to read this and HAVEN'T given up on me ... then this post is for you

I GOT A JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been MIA because I've been stressing, worrying, obsessing, praying, preparing, analyzing, and losing sleep over an interview I had last week and then a second interview this past Friday ... and guess what lovelies ... after that second interview the superintendent offered me the JOB!!!! Starting in the fall I'm going to be a Freshmen Honors English Teacher!!! Woop Woop!!!! This is what I wanted, what I've dreamed about happening, what I've been blogging about not getting ... it's actually all happening :)

So, I'm sorry that I've been MIA but now I'm back and better than ever because everything I've prayed for, hoped for , wished for, dreamed for is coming true and trust me darlings I'm smiling from ear to ear!

I started this blog because I needed somewhere to vent my anger and disappointment and disbelief in my former state. I was missing college, missing teaching, missing working, and unhappy ... so I turned to blogger and decided to spew my feelings and see if anyone would listen and it was such a surprise that some of you not only listened, but supported me and gave me hope that I am not alone. Thank-you for the lovely people out there who gave me that hope and the confidence to keep pushing ... because here's what I learned ... if you push through the suck and keep believing you will eventually come out somewhere good.

I will try my hardest to not be so MIA anymore ... luckily besides getting the big J-O-B and Mr. Dalton's 1st Birthday ... not a whole lot has happened.

Sorry for all the pictures ... but look. at. that. face. I could just die. I can still remember the day we picked you out baby ... thank-you for making my miserable days seem so much better over the past year ... I love you handsome.

I'm like a nostalgic mom ... oh wait I am ... oh well ... who can help it. I can't believe my baby is 1 :)

So happy happy 1st Birthday to my baby boy Mr. Dalton and happy happy real, big, fabulous, great, teaching JOB to me! Woo!

Here's what I've learned ... The Reality of Life After College is ...

stuff will suck
nothing will go right
you won't get a job
whining and bitching are ok as long as you are actually doing something about your situation
keep working
keep working even when it seems as nothing will ever get better
be optimistic about chances
have hope
have faith
even when you feel worthless
and then one day all that hard work will pay off
and you will find your rhythm and place in life

Thank-you to all those lovelies who helped me and who didn't give up on me!

  6. Congrats on the job! You will love it at times and hate it at times, but it is such a gift to be able to teach a student. And teenagers are the most fun!
